One of the things that has forever disturbed my sensibilities is seeing the destruction of things. Action movies that display the blowing up of buildings and cars always make me recoil in disgust. Those images are supposed to titilate the audience, but for me, to see destruction is a big turn off. When I saw this news recently that a new industry is being developed that actually reduces waste and preserves resources, I was so relieved. Apparently, someone finally figured out that old buildings have a lot of value. Even when there is a need to build something else, the old building can be dismantled and used for other purposes. I have long embraced the philosophy of buying second hand goods for the sake of sparing the planet in some small way as well as continuing to honor the usefulness of the older item. Now, finally, the practice will be extending to building materials in old buildings. So now there may be fewer demolished buildings. There. That's better. :)

I love that idea too of things always finding purpose even when their original one is finished😁 it's a beautiful cycle!
